dr. Amalia is a Physician Nutrition Specialist who currently practicing at Dermis Skin Specialist Clinic. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia, then continued her Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition and Clinical Nutrition Specialist at the same university. Since practicing as a doctor, she interested in nutrition because currently many diseases are related to nutrition.
She provides nutrition consultations in various cases, such as weight management (obesity or malnutrition), diseases (diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, stroke, cancer, kidney disorders, etc), or high-risk groups (children, pregnant women, and elderly). She is also active as a speaker in many events, like health talks, seminars, or TV programs.
She is still active in learning nutrition-related topics by reading journals, attending seminars and workshops both domestically and abroad. In domestic, she attended seminars held by Perhimpunan Dokter Gizi Klinik Indonesia and by other medical associations. She followed the latest nutrition issues from abroad held by the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN), American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), World Obesity, European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO), Obesity Action Coalition (OAC), Obesity Canada, Obesity Medicine Association, dan Obesity Society.
